About Me

Picture

My life in music began at age five with a Schroeder-style toy piano and a natural curiosity that never faded. Raised in Hubertus, Wisconsin, I quickly transitioned from that toy instrument to formal lessons and a full-sized upright, sparking a passion that would lead me to a career in the arts.

I earned my degree in Music Theory and Composition from UW-Stevens Point, where I also launched my professional teaching career at the conservatory. Decades later, that same early enthusiasm for the piano remains the heartbeat of my work as a composer and educator.

My formal musical education took place at UW-Superior and

UW-Stevens Point, where I earned my degree in Composition and Theory. While in Stevens Point, I held my first professional role as a piano instructor for the conservatory. After returning to Milwaukee in 1990, I met my husband, Todd, and began teaching at his family’s music store. We married in 1993 and are the proud parents of two sons, Nick and Andy.

After a decade-long career in music publishing, I transitioned in 2011 to a full-time independent studio practice. This move allowed me to expand my reach through multitrack vocal videos and build a specialized business in a cappella arranging and learning track production. I am also a proud member of

Chapter Six, an international virtual vocal ensemble. Together, we collaborate across borders to create high-quality a cappella music and videos, often featuring my own arrangements.
